What is PIHEC?
Hosted and organized by Penang State Government of Malaysia under its halal facilitation agency, Halal Penang, Penang International Halal Expo and Conference (PIHEC) 2017 is an ideal platform and converging point for exhibitors and trade clients across regions of Southeast Asia, West Asia & Europe to promote and market wide array of halal consumable and non-consumable products.

Inaugurated in 2010 with the sole aim of facilitating the sourcing and selling of quality local and international halal consumables, products and services, this annual trade fair serves as a convenient and effective one-stop centre for Halal exporters and importers sourcing out domestic and international products from Northern Malaysia and the IMTT-GT region.

Where and when will PIHEC 2017 take place?
PIHEC 2017 will be held from 24 - 26 February 2017 at Setia sPICE, Bayan Baru, Penang. The opening hour is from 10 am to 8pm daily.

Is the exhibition open to everybody?
The exhibition is open to public and trade delegations from 24 - 26 February 2017. Visitors must be registered before entering the exhibition hall. Trade and business visitors must present their business card upon registration.

How many visitors are expected at PIHEC 2017?
We expect approximately 60,000 quality local and foreign trade and business visitors and the general public to attend the event.

Is there any admission fee?
Admission is FREE OF CHARGE

How do visitor register for the event?
Business and trade delegates can pre-register at www.pihec.com.my. Visit the main registration counter and present your business card to register on the day of the exhibition.

How many booths will there be?
More than 350 booths will be presented at PIHEC 2017 represented by local and international industry players from Southeast Asia, West Asia and Europe.

Do I have to Halal-certify my products before I can take part in PIHEC?
All products and services showcased at our three-day exhibition are required to be halal-certified to support our objective of increasing public awareness of the diversity and proliferation of halal goods and products waiting to be marketed around the world.

Manufacturers are well aware that a valid Halal certificate from an authorized body gives added value in many markets around the world. However, exhibitors without an authorized Halal certification must possess a Statutory Declaration confirming that their products are Halal according to Shariah.
